Nick Lachey is giving the whole marriage thing another go around! Us magazine reports Jessica Simpson’s ex popped the question to his longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo. Congrats!
“We’re excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together,” the newly engaged couple said in a statement. Too cute!
They’ve been dating since 2006, though they had a brief split last summer before getting back together again. They got together the first time soon after he and Jessica divorced.
For the record, they have no plans to do a reality TV show together — especially since his show with Jess, Newlyweds, is said to have caused a big strain in their relationship. He’s apparently learned his lesson on that front, thankfully.
The two haven’t announced a wedding date yet, and are probably just looking forward to their birthdays next week: Both of them were born on November 9! Nick will be 37 and Vanessa will turn the big 3-0.
